Gracia’s Letter on Becoming Captain for Team KIII (English Translations)

Hello! Thank you so much for all of the kind words, wishes, and prayers for me and Team KIII.

I am beyond grateful for the opportunity management has given me. Thank God I was given an even bigger responsibility.

I truly love this team. This team (Team KIII) is where I was able to grow, develop, and learn lot of things. I’m aware that I still have many shortcomings. I realized that being trusted as a captain is such an enormous responsibility, and I know that the future will not be easy, there will be many challenges and hardships that can come at any time and from anywhere. However, I will do my best for this team, for my friends, for all the senior who fought for this team, for JKT48 and for all of you who are always there for us.

As we all know, Team KIII has a really high performance standard and of course we can’t lower that standard, in fact, we have to raise the bar continuously.

I believe the current Team KIII members have great potential. It’s time for them to grow, develop, and learn. I still have many things to learn as well–learn to be more mature and thoughtful. In order to grow, we must step out of our comfort zone first. Therefore, we truly need your encouragement, supports, and prayers from all of you. Any constructive criticism and suggestion are always welcome. Let us continue to spread positivity, care for each another, and keep encouraging each other. I believe we can do it!
